It is a revival of “Imperial Bouquet,” a floral fougere with citrusy and exotic top notes of lemon and orange blossom, created in 1876 expressly for Queen Victoria to celebrate her coronation as Empress of the Indies. Reformulated in 1989, it took the name West Indian Lime, a classy fragrance that to this day remains a favorite of England’s royalty.
