Like the original Asylum Rx released in 2016, the second-generation razor is a single-wire safety razor that uses artist club (long) blades. Although this version of the razor is still very efficient, it is more refined and a bit more docile than the original (in a good way). When combined with a gentle Kai Titan blade, it can easily be used on a daily basis. That said, it has absolutely no problem when cutting back several days’ worth of regrowth. Two passes and small touch-ups will leave you with a soft baby face.
The second-generation razor is made of 316L stainless steel and weighs 107 g with excellent balance. Although theoriginal Rx has received excellent reviews, this version represents a significant improvement .
