Description
The olfactory family of Buttefly: is Amber – Woody. Top notes are Oregano, Pepper and Bergamot; middle notes are Incense, Amber and Labdanum; base notes are Leather, Agarwood (Oud), Sandalwood and Patchouli. Butterfly is a tribute to Giacomo Puccini a very great Italian composer born in Lucca, specifically to the opera Madame Butterfly. In this opera Cio-Cio-San, meaning “lady butterfly,” “Madama Butterfly,” is a 15-year-old Japanese girl. Her father died when she was still a child: this dramatic event led the family to the brink and led the young woman to become a geisha.
The production of this shaving soap involves the separate saponification of oils/fats/fats according to their function, starting from the raw materials and then not using “semi-finished pellets” . Two doughs are created:
- the first mixture is the one that contains the fats for the lather and thus the backbone of the shaving soap
- the second is the one that is responsible for giving our skin all the nutritive and soothing benefits of fats.
Once the two mixtures are obtained, they are mixed for two hours in a kind of temperature-controlled kneading machine at low revolutions to avoid any mechanical stress on the soap. This whole process is done to respect the raw materials used as much as possible and get all the benefits on our skin.
List some properties of the fats used in this soap :
Olive Oil: 100% pure cold-pressed oil from organic farming. The properties of this oil include oleic acids, which make the skin soft and supple, and finally polyphenols, natural antioxidants, which nourish the skin and protect it from damage by weather and passing time.
Shea Butter : the butter that is used is premium quality i.e., raw/crude butter from organic farming, is rich in antioxidants, Vitamin E, which fights free radicals and facilitates blood micro-circulation of the surface of the epidermis, and Vitamin A, which prevents and fights wrinkles as well as eczema, dermatitis and helps heal skin marks.
Coconut Oil: The oil used in this soap is also obtained from organic farming, 100% pure and cold-pressed. Its function is to soften the skin and help keep it moisturized, thus counteracting loss of elasticity.
Cocoa Butter: the butter in question is a butter that has anti-inflammatory properties is rich in fatty acids and moisturizes the skin.
Lanolin: is a waxy substance with protective action produced by the sheep’s coat, has high healing and anti-irritation power. Repairs small cuts or abrasions caused by the razor.
Rice Starch: It is often added to baby bath water to calm irritation. Its main function is soothing and absorbent (absorbs excess sebum without being aggressive on the skin).
Rice Protein: rich in natural amino acids that possess moisturizing and nourishing (both skin and hair), soothing, calming and de-reddening activity.
