RazoRock Mudder Focker Italian Shaving Soap

RazoRock Mudder Focker shaving soap has been controversial from the moment we launched it. More than a few people were offended by the name and refused to buy it. I see, I understand, my sense of humor doesn’t always work with everyone. The name was chosen for two reasons, the first reason being that this special shaving soap actually contains thermal mud, Fuller’s Earth to be more precise. Fuller’s Earth comes from an ancient sulfur hot spring in Italy, where many Italians visit each year for a health and relaxation getaway. The second reason we named it Mudder Focker is because it was my first reaction after feeling my face after my first shave with this soap! I can sit here and make all kinds of claims about Fuller’s Earth and its benefits to the skin, but that would invariably get me into a lot of trouble, so I won’t. I will tell you that we have sold thousands of these soaps and more than a few customers have begged me to never stop production. The post-shave feel of Mudder Focker is second to none and is one of my personal favorites; many people will tell you that a Mudder Focker shave doesn’t even require aftershave!

What else makes Mudder Focker special? Well, it is a tallow soap. Tallow grease, in the hands of a skilled soapmaker, makes the artisan a perfect lather that offers excellent protection from the razor blade. Mudder Focker is a soft Italian-style soap that is intended for use with a traditional shaving brush. Just swirl a dampened shaving brush over the soap for 30-40 seconds and the brush will be charged enough, then you can finish creating the lather is a shaving cup, bowl, or my preferred method, right on your face. This soap is a bit thirsty so add more water to the lather if necessary. If the lather lacks smoothness, it probably means it is too dry. Be sure to leave the soap completely dry after use. This means leaving it uncovered for at least 24 hours. If you cover the soap while it is ‘ It is still wet, you can ruin it. If you use soap 3-4 times a week or more, there is no reason to replace the cover after opening it for the first time.
