Description
The Slate sharpening stone is suitable for freehand razors with a fixed blade. It is a stone to be used for the final finishing of the freehand razor. Slate has been used both from times past by Genoese barbers to sharpen/refresh their “tools of the trade.” It is a stone to be used with water only for polishing the razor edge. Satin finish cannot be carried out with this stone. It is provided along with its bout for Slurry creation. The stone being of natural origin may have small chips on the edges due to the cutting of the tessa. Estimated grit using it with water is about 10/12,000
