The olfactory family of Wooden Brat is : Woody – Aromatic. Top notes are Violet and Violet Leaf; middle notes are Cedar and Vetiver; base notes are Fir, Musk and Amber. Wooden Brat was born after visiting a centuries-old oak tree in the province of Lucca with a trunk diameter of more than 4mt, a canopy about 40mt in diameter, one of the largest in Tuscany. It is known as the Witches’ Tree, but legend has it that this Oak is the one on which the puppet was hanged by assassins who wanted to rob him from the book “The Adventures of Pinocchio – Story of a Puppet by Carlo Collodi” In fact, the town that gave birth to the writer Collodi’s mother is not far away. Visiting the place there is an almost magical air, a sense of well-being and serenity. The smell of oak wood is fused together with the floral of spring violets that spread out at the giant’s feet. All these smells and sensations perceived on a beautiful spring day, I wanted to include them in Wooden Brat

This aftershave from Toscana Factory Lab not only soothes the skin, nourishes and moisturizes it but also takes on the function of an Eau de Toilette given the percentage of fragrance within it. Here we explain some of the properties of the ingredients inside:

Glycolipids: These compounds consisting of macromolecules that contain lipid-bound carbohydrates are obtained from plants. Their function is cellular recovery, which is the ability of the skin to retain moisture, minimize transepidermal water loss, and overall skin tone and texture.

Aloe juice: This gel made from the cold-pressed and organically grown plant of the same name , has healing power. Aloe juice, being rich in valuable substances such as vitamins, enzymes and essential amino acids, protects the skin from dehydration, and thanks to its soothing and refreshing properties, gives hydration and freshness (even after sun exposure).

Mallow extract : obtained from organically grown plants, this extract has an anti-inflammatory, emollient, nourishing, skin-protective, and refreshing function.

Panthenol: Panthenol improves hydration, reduces itching and inflammation of the skin. It accelerates and improves healing of epidermal wounds. It is often used in sunburn treatment products. When panthenol is applied locally, it penetrates the lower layers of the skin, is absorbed by skin cells and converted to pantothenic acid (more commonly known as vitamin B5). It is this penetration that enables essential hydration.

Sodium P CA : Sodium PCA is a sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid. It is an amino acid found naturally in many proteins. It is part of the NMF (natural moisturizing factor), that is, compounds that enable the natural maintenance of skin hydration.
It is used in cosmetics as a moisturizer, humectant. This ingredient is also nontoxic, nonirritating and hypoallergenic.

Guar gum: made from the seed of a legume, this compound is a film-forming agent creates a thin film on the skin that gives the skin a velvet effect.
