The fixed-blade freehand razor for cutting beard hair must be sharp, it must not tear!!!
The metal of the razor although harder than the skin and hair can suffer ,after several shaves, micro damage to the edge. Generally rounding and bending, this phenomenon not visible to the naked eye is, however, clearly noticeable in the face. It is said in the jargon that the razor “rips.” To overcome this problem, the razor should be passed over the stones after a few shaves-the number depends on the hand, the hardness of the beard, and the quality of the steel.
Sharpening stones are divided ,simplifying a bit, according to grit :1000/4000/8000/10-15000 and more.
The lower grits are useful for geometry correction and beveling work , the intermediate ones for refining the edge until you get to the higher grits that make the handle sharp and comfortable.
A razor that cut well, with correct geometries does not need to be passed over a low grit stone. A simple “freshening up” of the thread with a finishing stone is enough.

Sharpening time may vary depending on the type of work, generally 3 to 6 working days
Not included in the cost:
1. shipping costs to sbarba.it which remain the responsibility of the customer (only tracked shipments are accepted)
